Travis Kelce exuded confidence as he walked into the Arrowhead Stadium for his Monday Night Football game, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs gaining victory over the New Orleans Saints. Sports Illustrated reported that the Chiefs tight end wore a pair of Nike’s Air Jordan 8 in the ‘Playoffs’ colorway.

The sneakers originally made their debut back in 1993 during the successful run of the Chicago Bulls for a three-peat. The brand has since then re-released the iconic sneakers periodically. Travis Kelce previously talked about wearing Air Jordan sneakers during the game season on his podcast, “New Heights.” As per Footwear News, he said, “We’re wearing [Air Jordan] Retros for every game.”

On Nike’s official website, the brand introduces the Air Jordan 8 ‘Playoffs’ in the following manner: “Three-peats, ’90s style and a career shift shrouded in mythology—this AJ8 brings it all and then some.” The sneakers debuted during Michael Jordan’s 1992-93 championship season in premium black nubuck. The description further stated, “Hits of University Red and white add a 1–2 punch of energy, while moulded details, colourful accents and a midfoot strap keeps 30 years of lore alive.”

Last September, the Air Jordan 8 ‘Playoffs’ were released in adult sizes for $210.
