The Air Jordan 14 Retro “Black Toe” is finally returning after a decade since its last release. Many opine this to be one of the most dramatic 2024 sneaker releases. The brand recently announced a Holiday season re-release date, the third since its 1998 debut, for the sneakers. They had re-released the same model in 2006 and 2014. It sported the classic white leather top, black suede toe, and a few final touches in red and metallic silver.

The Air Jordan 14 Retro “Black Toe” colorway has a re-release date of November 2, 2024. The sneaker was first launched on October 31, 1998. Since then, it has had two re-releases – the first in 2006 and the second in 2014.

Nike recently announced, “Aficionados of the original Air Jordan XIV (14) can rejoice with the return of the classic White/Black-Varsity Red colorway.” They also released the official product images which come at a retail price of $210. It reads, “Air Jordan XIV takes inspiration from a love of sports cars and this is emulated through its sleek lines and premium materials.”

The esteemed Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” is the last pair Michael Jordan wore while playing for the Chicago Bulls. Sporting these, he made the winning shot on June 14, 1998, leading the Bulls to a triumphant victory against the Utah Jazz. They eventually bagged their third consecutive NBA championship after Jordan’s historic shot.

MJ’s debut of the Air Jordan 14 then was the first and only time he wore them inside the court during a match. In fact, he almost did not wear the shoes that day. Sources state that designer Tinker Hatfield, after sending him the prototype, requested the athlete not to wear it. However, Jordan found the design so intriguing, that he wore it to the game, thus creating a legendary moment.
