Melania Reveals Her Reaction to Donald Trump Assassination Attempts

Melania Trump recently addressed the assassination attempts on Donald Trump in an interview. In light of her upcoming memoir release, he sat down for an exclusive conversation with “Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt to discuss the book. Other discussions during their sit-down conversation included Melania’s reaction to the former president’s assassination attempts and additional subjects, such as the raid on Mar-a-Lago. The interview was her first in more than two years.

Melania on how the family reacted to Donald Trump assassination attempts

Melania Trump addressed the Donald Trump assassination attempts during an interview with Fox’s Ainsley Earhardt. The two conversed about the life events she mentioned in her eponymous book. One certain subject that came up was the near-death scenario Trump faced in Pennsylvania.

Earhardt had some questions regarding the two assassination attempts on Donald Trump after reading Melania’s book, which details the horrific incidents. The former first lady believes both events were “miracles.” She said, “If you really think about it, July 13th was a miracle.” Gesturing with her fingers, she added, “That much and he could, you know, he could not be with us.”

Donald Trump’s wife offers in-depth recollections of the assassination attempts during the Fox interview, the first of which occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania. The mother of one disclosed exactly how she watched the events on TV after learning about the shooting at his rally. She recalled seeing her husband “on the floor” after a bullet grazed him.

The accused gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired at Trump, who was addressing the crowd. Crooks was using an AR-15–style rifle from the roof of a nearby building and fatally shot someone in the audience. Eventually, a Secret Service sniper was able to gun down the 20-year-old shooter.

Melania Trump noted, “I ran to the TV and I rewind[ed] it and I watched it.” However, she confirmed that the chief of staff told her Trump was alright before adding, “When I saw it … nobody really knew yet because when you see him on the floor and you don’t know, you don’t know what really happened.”

The second attack on Donald Trump reportedly occurred while he was golfing near their Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15. Melania claimed she was in New York City at the time and once again “saw it on the television.” She added, “And as soon as I saw it on television I called again, and he was OK because Secret Service were great. The guys that they were with him, they were fantastic.”

Reportedly, an agent stopped the suspected gunman, Ryan Wesley Routh. The said agent prevented the accused shooter from getting a clear line of view at the Republican leader. While Trump was unharmed, Routh is now facing federal gun charges.

Melania Trump further discussed who she believed was responsible for the assassination attempts on Donald Trump. She asserted, “We hear the leaders from the opposition party and mainstream media branding him as a threat to democracy, calling him vile names. They’re only fueling a toxic atmosphere and all of these people that they wanted to harm to him. This needs to stop.”

Besides Donald Trump’s two assassination attempts, Melania also reacted to the FBI raid of their Mar-a-Lago mansion. She claimed that the investigation regarding the withholding of classified White House documents into Trump angered her. Melania claimed it made her “angry” as she called it an “invasion of privacy.” She added, “The way it was done, was, I was really surprised.”

Melania Trump’s full interview with Ainsley Earhardt aired on “Fox & Friends” and is now streaming on YouTube.
