Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 271 and Manga Ending Explained

The spoilers of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 271 have caused a stir on social media, with the ending being discussed widely.

JJK fans who were expecting a return of the blue-eyed sorcerer Gojo Satoru are left teary-eyed. Toward the end, they just get to see him one last time through Itadori Yuji’s flashback. The two converse about how dreams and hopes, but Gojo breaks hearts by saying he anticipated he would be left alone as everybody grows up.

However, the last panel of the manga was what sent fans into a dilemma. Per the spoiler leaks, Jujutsu Kaisen ends with the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna’s last finger being contained in a wooden box at the booth shown in the first chapter. This might ignite speculations about Sukuna’s possible return.

However, since no information about Part 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has been provided, the chances of Sukuna returning are the lowest. The manga’s end also shows the trio of Megumi, Fushiguro, and Yuji finally embarking on a new journey to rid the world of curses together.

Even though the manga ended on a somewhat happy note, the loss of most of the fan-favorite characters has left many readers distraught. Especially, Akutani not mentioning anything about Gojo’s dead body or grave at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen has received mixed reactions online.
