Dua Lipa Celebrates VMAs 2024 Win With Bruised Photo on Instagram

Dua Lipa won the best choreography award for “Houdini” at the 2024 MTV VMAs on Wednesday, September 11. However, the 29-year-old singer-songwriter was not present at the award show to accept the award. The next day, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude and celebrated the win for the hit song “Houdini” on Instagram.

Dua Lipa took to the social media platform to share a photo of her bruised leg, along with behind-the-scenes videos of the song’s music video. In the caption of the Instagram post, the singer stated that winning the best choreography award for “Houdini” was worth all the bruises she got from the dance practice while shooting for the music video. She also mentioned the choreographer of the song, Charm La’Donna, in the post’s caption. Dua shared her happiness and excitement for the win with La’Donna.

Popular English and Albanian songwriter and singer Dua Lipa has expressed her enthusiasm and joy for winning the trophy for best choreography for her song “Houdini” at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on her official Instagram account. Although the singer could not be present at the award ceremony, she expressed her joy through an Instagram post.

Showing off her bruised leg on the newly-released post, Dua wrote in the caption, “HOUDINI WINNING BEST CHOREO AT THE @vmas LAST NIGHT!!” She then went on to address the choreographer of the song, Charm La’Donna, in the caption as well. Tagging her there, she said, “I KNOW THASSSS RIGHT @charmladonna !!!!!”

The singer then explained that all the bruises she received from the practice of the choreography for “Houdini” were worth it. She wrote that the win was “Worth all the bruises!!!!” Dua Lipa further added, “We have come so far and got more to goooo.” She ended the caption by thanking everyone for their support and love.
