‘Halloween Ends’ Will Premiere on Peacock and Theaters on Same Day (So You Can Choose Where to Get Scared Silly)

It may still be August, but we are already psyched for Halloween. Bring on the candy, the jack o’ lanterns, and the horror movies! We are here for it. In fact, the announcement that Halloween Ends is premiering in theaters and on Peacock on the same day, Oct. 14, is just the start of spooky season.

The sequel trilogy manned by filmmaker David Gordon Green is coming to a close. Star Jamie Lee Curtis, who has played Laurie Strode for over four decades, announced the inevitable end of evil on social media last week. She explained how there are people that want to go to the theaters and “scream their guts out” while others prefer to get scared shitless (our words) at home, hence the dual release.

Here’s the synopsis for the last installment of this slasher franchise:

“Four years after the events of last year’s ‘Halloween Kills,’ Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; ‘The Hardy Boys,’ ‘Virgin River’), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.”

And here’s the official trailer:

So, the only question now is: where will you be screaming your guts out on Oct. 14?
