Jared Leto’s ‘Morbius’ Method Acting Antics Proves He Might Be a Bigger Douche Than Ever Expected

Jared Leto is known for going all-in for his roles, whether they require it or not. With his latest role in Morbius, he naturally plays it like it’s the most important role of all time. In the film, Michael Morbius is crippled by a rare blood disease, so of course, he had to pretend to be disabled on set. Not because he was asked to, but because he chose to. The results prove that Jared Leto is a bigger douche than we could have ever imagined, and that’s saying something.

In a recent interview with Daniel Espinosa, the Morbius director confirmed an on-set story where Leto was so committed to playing the role that every time he had to go to the bathroom, he would use his crutches and slowly limp to the toilet. However, Leto’s self-indulgence would regularly cause pauses in filming for up to 45 minutes. Eventually, a compromise was struck where someone would use a wheelchair to get him to the bathroom quicker. No word yet on whether Leto injected himself wit Bat Blood for the role too.

Espinosa added, “I think that what Jared thinks, what Jared believes, is that somehow the pain of those movements, even when he was playing normal Michael Morbius, he needed because he’s been having this pain his whole life. Even though, as he’s alive and strong, it has to be a difference. Hey, man, it’s people’s processes.” God help the poor soul who was forced to wheel Jared Leto around set every time he needed to take a piss.

Considering that Morbius is undoubtedly one of the worst movies of the year, it seems that Leto’s efforts added absolutely nothing to the movie. If anything, it seems that Leto is continuing his commitment to making the jobs of everyone around him even harder. As if working with Jared Leto wasn’t punishment enough, he also had to waste the time of the undoubtedly skilled crew members. If you somehow care, Morbius is now in theaters.
